The 6th International Conference on Writing Analytics is entitled ‘Actionable Data for Teaching and Learning Writing’ and will be held 23-25 May 2018 in Malmö. Details are on the conference website.
The website for the upcoming National Forum for English Studies is now live and the conference committee welcomes you to submit your paper before March 3.
The forum is hosted by Jönköping University and will be held on 26-28 April 2017, from noon to noon.
The 12th triennial conference for the Nordic Association of English Studies (NAES) was held recently at the University of Agder, in Norway (May 4 to 6, 2016). NAES is a companion association to SWESSE and a member of ESSE.
The SWESSE board would like to send a warm thank you to Lydia Kokkola, and her team in Luleå, for their wonderful hosting of the National Forum for English Studies last week.
The conference was very successful and it was great to see so many SWESSE members in attendance.

The new issue of the Nordic Journal of English Studies is available now with articles on topics in contemporary English in Swedish translation, Old and Middle English and Asian varieties of English.
The Nordic Journal of English Studies (NJES) is associated with the Nordic Association of English Studies and is published two to three times a year. NJES publishes articles on the English language and literatures in English. It welcomes special issues on different themes of topical interest. The journal has a review section where we draw special attention to works published in the Nordic countries. The journal is peer-reviewed and listed in the MLA, EBSCO, Elsevier, Cengage and ERIH databases. ISSN: 1654-6970.
