SWESSE

The deadline for nominations to the ESSE Book Awards for 2014 is February 1 2014

The awards are given in 2 categories, Category A (prize money €1500) and Category B for Junior Scholars (prize money €500) for books first published in 2012 or 2013 in each of the following fields:

• English language and linguistics
• Literatures in the English language
• Cultural studies in English

The prizes will be awarded by ESSE and presented at the 12th Conference to be held in Košice, Slovakia (Friday 29 August–Tuesday 2 September, 2014).

At the recent National forum for English Studies in Växjö Professor Irene Gilsenan Nordin was elected president of SWESSE. Irene follows Professor emerita Karin Aijmer as president. The board and all members of SWESSE thank Professor Aijmer for her many years of service.
